Harvey Worthington Loomis was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Brooklyn on the 5th February 1865, the same year of the composers Boeck, De Boeck, Drake, Dukas, Dupin, Gilson, Jaques-Dalcroze, Luders, Ludwig, Luporini, Magnard, Miles, Morera, Nielsen, Olenin, Orefice, Reinhardt, Sibelius, Spinelli, Szopski, Tofft. He died in Boston on the 25th December 1930
