Earl R(oss) Drake, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Aurora on the 26th November 1865, the same year of the composers Boeck, De Boeck, Dukas, Dupin, Gilson, Jaques-Dalcroze, Loomis, Luders, Ludwig, Luporini, Magnard, Miles, Morera, Nielsen, Olenin, Orefice, Reinhardt, Sibelius, Spinelli, Szopski, Tofft. He died in Chicago on the 6th May 1916
