Julian Edwards, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Manchester on the 11th December 1855, the same year of the composers Aggházy, Chausson, Esposito, Hellmesberger, Hervey, Hummel, Kauffmann, Klicka, Mayer, Mendelssohn, Röntgen, Rückauf, Solomon, Valente. He died in Yonkers on the 5th September 1910
