The musician Julius Röntgen, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Leipzig on the 9th May 1855, the same year of the composers Aggházy, Chausson, Edwards, Esposito, Hellmesberger, Hervey, Hummel, Kauffmann, Klicka, Mayer, Mendelssohn, Rückauf, Solomon, Valente. Died in Bilthoven (Utrecht) on the 13rd September 1932
