The musician Michele Esposito, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Castellamare di Stabia on the 29th September 1855, the same year of the composers Aggházy, Chausson, Edwards, Hellmesberger, Hervey, Hummel, Kauffmann, Klicka, Mayer, Mendelssohn, Röntgen, Rückauf, Solomon, Valente. He died in Firenze on the 23th November 1929
