The musician Arnold (Ludwig) Mendelssohn was born in Racibórz on the 26th December 1855, the same year of the composers Aggházy, Chausson, Edwards, Esposito, Hellmesberger, Hervey, Hummel, Kauffmann, Klicka, Mayer, Röntgen, Rückauf, Solomon, Valente. He died in Darmstadt on the 19th February 1933
