The composer Alfredo Schiuma, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Buenos Aires on the first July 1895, the same year of the composers Baeyens, Binder, Brustad, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Castro, Dandelot, Dostal, Estrada, Gotovac, Gray, Guerrero (y Torre), Hindemith, Höffer, Kattnigg, Kogoj, Lyatoshyns'ky, Martelli, Nechayev, Orff, Osterc, Rathaus, Rocca, Still, Thórdarson, Tijardovic, Toldrá, Trambitsky. He died in Buenos Aires on the 24th July 1963
