The composer Franz (Frantisek) Neumann, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Prerov on the 16th June 1874, the same year of the composers Bittner, Brandts Buys, Castaldi, Ettinger, Eysler, Gatty, Göhler, Hahn, Hart, Holst, Landré, Marteau. Henri, Nedbal, Neglia, Onofri, Parelli, Pierné, Schmid, Schmidt, Schoenberg, Sánchez de Fuentes. Died in Brno on the 24th February 1929
