The composer Nicholas Comyn Gatty, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Bradfield on the 13rd September 1874, the same year of the composers Bittner, Brandts Buys, Castaldi, Ettinger, Eysler, Göhler, Hahn, Hart, Holst, Landré, Marteau. Henri, Nedbal, Neglia, Neumann, Onofri, Parelli, Pierné, Schmid, Schmidt, Schoenberg, Sánchez de Fuentes. He died in Londra on the 10th November 1946
