Arthur de Greef, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Leuven on the 10th October 1862, the same year of the composers Balanchivadze, Behm, Berutti, Damrosch, Debussy, Delius, Emmanuel, Ganne, Harriss, Jones, Klose, Koch, Kovarovic, Lavrangas, Leborne, Marshall-Hall, Maurice, O'Dwyer, Pizzi, Reiter, Vanzo. He died in Bruxelles on the 29th August 1940
