The musician Francesco D' Arcais (Marchese di Valverde), author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Cagliari on the 15th December 1830, the same year of the composers Adelburg, Bülow, Durand, Goldmark, Grandval, Heise, Hellmesberger, Hentschel, Kretschmer, Lassen, Leschetizky, Minchejmer, Métra, Riccius, Serrao, Skuherský, Tolbecque.
