Frantisek Zdenek (Xavier Alois) Skuherský, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Opocno on the 31th July 1830, the same year of the composers Adelburg, Arcais, Bülow, Durand, Goldmark, Grandval, Heise, Hellmesberger, Hentschel, Kretschmer, Lassen, Leschetizky, Minchejmer, Métra, Riccius, Serrao, Tolbecque. He died in Ceske Budejovice on the 19th August 1892
