Joseph Joachim Raff was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Lachen on the 27th May 1822, the same year of the composers Arditi, Barbieri, Clément, Gautier, Gaztambide y Garbayo, Gregoir, Hauser, Hernando y Palomar, Hignard, Leslie, Litta, Lutz, Massé, Reinthaler. He died in Francoforte sul Meno on the 24th June 1882
