The musician Giovanni Antonio Giai (Giay) was born in Torino in 1690, the same year of the composers Baccelli, Baldassare, Barsanti, Bergiron, Brescianello, Chelleri, Ciampi, Collin (Colin) de Blamont, Porta, Prota, Stölzel, Tessarini. He died in Torino on the 10th September 1764
