The musician David Stanley Smith was born in Toledo on the 6th July 1877, the same year of the composers Aroca y Ortega, Aubert, Beach, Bortkiewicz, Brediceanu, Camussi, Castillo, Chesnokov, Cools, Cuvillier, Dohnányi, Dunhill, Dupuis, Farwell, Gedike, Hess, Huré, Jelmoli, Krstic, Ladmirault, Marsick, Medins, Mojsisovics(-Mojsvár), Nowowiejski, Radoux-Rogier, Stojanovic. He died in New Haven (Conn.) on the 17th December 1949
