Pavel Grigor'yevich Chesnokov, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Voskresensk on the 24th October 1877, the same year of the composers Aroca y Ortega, Aubert, Beach, Bortkiewicz, Brediceanu, Camussi, Castillo, Cools, Cuvillier, Dohnányi, Dunhill, Dupuis, Farwell, Gedike, Hess, Huré, Jelmoli, Krstic, Ladmirault, Marsick, Medins, Mojsisovics(-Mojsvár), Nowowiejski, Radoux-Rogier, Smith, Stojanovic. He died in Mosca on the 14th March 1944
