The musician Earl Vincent Moore, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Lansing on the 27th September 1890, the same year of the composers Ambros, Barbier, Bourguignon, Canal, Clokey, Cortinas, Grad, Guerrini, Gurlitt, Gál, Ibert, Kovalev, Manning, Martin, Martinu, Medins, Nottara, Nystroem, Petersen, Reuter, Roig, Schoemaker. Died in La Jolla (California) on the 29th December 1987
