The composer Antonio Peregrino (Pellegrino) Benelli, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Forli on the 5th September 1771, the same year of the composers Bergt, Cannabich, Catrufo, Choron, Paër, Ruppe, Rösler, Stegmayer. He died in Börnichau (Sachsen) on the 16th August 1830
