Lorenzo Brunelli was born in Rome in 1945 and undertook in-depth musical studies that led him to emerge as a prominent composer in the second half of the 20th century. His career developed alongside his teaching activity, which he exercised with dedication in Italian institutions.
His music tackled modern and experimental languages, ranging from orchestral compositions to chamber works. He was also esteemed as a teacher, capable of transmitting to young musicians both technical rigor and creative freedom.
He died in Rome in 2020, leaving a significant legacy in the Italian contemporary musical panorama.
