The composer Eugène-Auguste Ysaÿe, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Liège on the 16th July 1858, the same year of the composers Barkworth, Berson, Chapuis, De Lara, Elling, Erb, Fauchey, Ferroni, Hubay, Huë, Kazachenko, Klein, Krug, Lambert, Landini, Löhse, Major, Maunder, Mugnone, Müller-Reuter, Nicolau, Ochs, Puccini, Shelley, Smyth, Tirindelli, Trnecek. He died in Bruxelles on the 12nd May 1931
