The musician Ernst Wilhelm Wolf, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Grossenbehringen on the 25th February 1735, the same year of the composers Alexandre, Bach, Baillou, Berg, Coignet, La Houssaye, Monza, Orgitano, Raimondi, Röllig, Schobert, Schweitzer, Silva, Tenducci, Toeschi. He died in Weimar on the 30th November 1792
