The composer Julius Weismann, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Freiburg im Breisgau on the 26th December 1879, the same year of the composers Andreae, Berg, Bornschein, Bridge, Canteloube (de Malaret), Corder, Cras, Doire, Donaudy, Gaubert, Gilbert, Granichstaedten, Grovlez, Haas, Hatze, Kalnins, Laccetti, Lyudkevych, Ostrcil, Respighi, Scott, Shaw, Tigranian, Trunk, Uspensky. He died in Singen am Hohentweil (Bodensee) on the 22nd December 1950
