The musician Karel Weis (Weiss), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Praga on the 13rd February 1862, the same year of the composers Balanchivadze, Behm, Berutti, Damrosch, Debussy, Delius, Emmanuel, Ganne, Greef, Harriss, Jones, Klose, Koch, Kovarovic, Lavrangas, Leborne, Marshall-Hall, Maurice, O'Dwyer, Pizzi, Reiter, Vanzo. He died in Praga on the 4th April 1944
