Jean-Baptiste (Théodore) Weckerlin was born in Guebwiller on the 9th November 1821, the same year of the composers Afanas'yev, Bottesini, Bovy-Lysberg, Byström, Conradi, Dominiceti, Doppler, Maretzek, Muzio, Paniagua y Vasques.
