The musician Jan Nepomuk Skroup (Skraup) was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Osice on the 15th September 1811, the same year of the composers Arnold, Becker, Blahetka, Catelani, Godefroid, Hiller, Liszt, Orlowski, Schindelmeisser, Speranza, Taubert, Thomas, Truhn. He died in Praga on the 5th May 1892
