(1905-1960)

The composer Mátyás (György) Seiber, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Budapest on the 4th May 1905, the same year of the composers Adomián, Arapov, Bartos, Blazek, Blitzstein, Bozza, Brusilovsky, Dankevich, Darnton, Defossez, Farkas, Garrido, Gundry, Halffter (Escriche), Hartmann, Holewa, Hughes, Jolivet, Kenessey, Kosma, Kozlovsky, Kreuder, Landré, Leigh, Maes, Meyer, Michaelides, Müller, Pizzini, Rubin, Ruthenfranz, Sandi, Sternefeld, Tippett, Tubin. Died in Kruger National Park on the 24th September 1960
