Zakhary (Petrovich) Paliashvili, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Kutaisi on the 16th August 1871, the same year of the composers Ambrosio, Arregui Garay, Blech, Borch, Converse, Demény, Jessel, Kaempfert, Lowtzky, Mugellini, Nevin, Patterson, Pipkov, Reuss, Robles, Shapleigh, Spendiaryan, Stenhammar, Urbach. Died in Tbilisi on the 6th October 1933
