Per August (Pehr) Olander (Ölander), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Linköping on the 8th Jenuary 1824, the same year of the composers Balart, Clavé, Coenen, Cornelius, De Ferrari, Eichberg, Malipiero, Perfall, Reinecke, Romani, Samuel, Smetana, Terziani. He died in Stoccolma on the third August 1886
