The composer Felix (Josef) Mottl, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Unter-Sankt Veit on the 24th August 1856, the same year of the composers Aspestrand, Bird, Dupuis, Gabriel, Gall, Geisler, Gédalge, Kastalski, Macbeth, Schütt, Sinding, Taneyev. He died in Monaco on the second July 1911
