José Pablo Moncayo Garcia, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Guadalajara on the 29th June 1912, the same year of the composers Amellér, Ashrafi, Carvalho, Gillis, Glanville-Hicks, Hadjiev, Hess, Hughes, Jones, Jurovský, Jørgensen, Khadzhiev, Kowalski, Leon, Marttinen, Montsalvatge, Nejedlý, Nijazi (Niyazi; Tagi-zade-Hajibeyov; Tagi-zade-Khadzhibekov, Pentland, Pongrácz, Scott, Székely. He died in México on the 16th June 1958
