The musician Solon Michaelides was born in Nicosia on the 25th November 1905, the same year of the composers Adomián, Arapov, Bartos, Blazek, Blitzstein, Bozza, Brusilovsky, Dankevich, Darnton, Defossez, Farkas, Garrido, Gundry, Halffter (Escriche), Hartmann, Holewa, Hughes, Jolivet, Kenessey, Kosma, Kozlovsky, Kreuder, Landré, Leigh, Maes, Meyer, Müller, Pizzini, Rubin, Ruthenfranz, Sandi, Seiber, Sternefeld, Tippett, Tubin. He died in Athinai on the 9th September 1979
