Janis Medins was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Riga on the 9th October 1890, the same year of the composers Ambros, Barbier, Bourguignon, Canal, Clokey, Cortinas, Grad, Guerrini, Gurlitt, Gál, Ibert, Kovalev, Manning, Martin, Martinu, Moore, Nottara, Nystroem, Petersen, Reuter, Roig, Schoemaker. Died in Stoccolma on the 4th March 1966
