The composer Georges-Eugène Marty, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Parigi on the 16th May 1860, the same year of the composers Akerberg (Åkerberg), Albeniz (Albéniz), Charpentier, Eymieu, Hansen, Hillemacher, Liepe, Loewengard, Mahler, Manolov, Paderewski, Reznicek, Rietsch (Löwy), Robyn, Statkowski, Tonning. He died in Parigi on the 11th October 1908
