The musician Oskar (Fredrik) Lindberg, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Gagnef on the 23th February 1887, the same year of the composers Atterberg, Boulanger, Bretan, Brewster-Jones, Collingwood, de Leone, Delgadillo, Dieren, Harling, Jachino, Johnson, Paumgartner, Pepöck, Reiser, Romberg, Schadewitz, Shaporin, Stephan, Tagliapietra, Toch, Usandizaga. He died in Stoccolma on the 10th April 1955
