The musician Joseph Legros (Le Gros), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Monampteuil on the 7th September 1739, the same year of the composers Accorimboni, Dittersdorf, Pouteau, Rispoli, Rust, Vanhal.
