The composer Paul Ignaz Kürzinger, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Mergentheim on the 28th April 1750, the same year of the composers Amendola, Calegari, Hanke, Just, Lanza, Lessel, Majer, Monti, Mortellari, Neubauer, Prati, Rosetti, Salieri, Schilson, Stabinger, Sterkel, Türk, Vancura. He died in Vienna in 1820
