Joseph Martin Kraus, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Miltenberg-am-Main on the 20th June 1756, the same year of the composers Ahlstrom (Åhlström), Boutmy, Gehot, Horzizky, Kunz, Lacépède, Linley, Mozart, Parigi, Reinagle, Righini, Schmiedt, Teyber. He died in Stoccolma on the 15th December 1792
