The musician Jan Bedrich (Johann Friedrich) Kittl, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Orlik nad Vltavou on the 8th May 1806, the same year of the composers Arriaga y Balzola, Duprez, Gordigiani, Marxsen, Schuberth, Scutta. He died in Leszno on the 20th July 1868
