Louis Jullien, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Sisteron on the 23th April 1812, the same year of the composers Dahmen, Dannström (Johan) Isidor, Grädener, Hebenstreit, Hullah, Kazynski, Klitsch, Krug, Peri, Tauwitz, Thalberg. He died in Parigi on the 14th March 1860
