Hall (Francis) Johnson was born in Athens on the second June 1887, the same year of the composers Atterberg, Boulanger, Bretan, Brewster-Jones, Collingwood, de Leone, Delgadillo, Dieren, Harling, Jachino, Lindberg, Paumgartner, Pepöck, Reiser, Romberg, Schadewitz, Shaporin, Stephan, Tagliapietra, Toch, Usandizaga. He died in New York on the 30th April 1970
