Ernst Hess was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Scaffhausen on the 13rd May 1912, the same year of the composers Amellér, Ashrafi, Carvalho, Gillis, Glanville-Hicks, Hadjiev, Hughes, Jones, Jurovský, Jørgensen, Khadzhiev, Kowalski, Leon, Marttinen, Moncayo Garcia, Montsalvatge, Nejedlý, Nijazi (Niyazi; Tagi-zade-Hajibeyov; Tagi-zade-Khadzhibekov, Pentland, Pongrácz, Scott, Székely. He died in Egg (Zurigo) on the second November 1968
