Hans Haug, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Basle on the 27th July 1900, the same year of the composers Aav, Antheil, Barraud, Berezowsky, Bernard, Blum, Burkhard, Bush, Copland, Dunayevsky, Ermatinger, Ferroud, Godron, Halffter (Escriche), Head, Ikonomov, Krenek, Mosolov, Oboussier, Pimsleur, Raymond, Reutter, Salmhofer, Schmidt-Isserstedt, Shekhter, Taktakishvili. He died in Lausanne on the 15th September 1967
