Louis Moreau Gottschalk was born in New Orleans on the 8th May 1829, the same year of the composers Acton, Bertini, Braga, Dietrich, Hartog, Ipavec, Ivry, Karrer, Lazare, Millard, Pinsuti, Roberti, Rogel, Rubinstein, Stiehl, Thomas, Thooft. Died in Tijuca (Brasil) on the 18th December 1869
