Jacob Edvard Gille, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Stoccolma on the 10th August 1814, the same year of the composers Alary, Denefve, Döhler, Gabrielli, Hentschel, Kolberg, Lillo, Limnander de Nieuwenhove, Mosonyi, Röckel, Salaman, Schäffer. He died in Stoccolma on the 8th November 1880
