The musician Jean Gilbert was born in Hamburg on the 11th February 1879, the same year of the composers Andreae, Berg, Bornschein, Bridge, Canteloube (de Malaret), Corder, Cras, Doire, Donaudy, Gaubert, Granichstaedten, Grovlez, Haas, Hatze, Kalnins, Laccetti, Lyudkevych, Ostrcil, Respighi, Scott, Shaw, Tigranian, Trunk, Uspensky. He died in Buenos Aires on the 20th December 1942
