The composer Léon-Gustave-Cyprien Gastinel, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Villers on the 13rd August 1823, the same year of the composers Arrieta y Corera, Barbieri, Doss, Dütsch, Genée, Kettenus, Lalo, Miry, Reyer.
