The musician Ferdinand Simon Gassner, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Vienna on the 6th Jenuary 1798, the same year of the composers Andries, Batton, Costa, Dessauer, Gläser, Griesbach, Linley, Lvov, Reissiger. He died in Karlsruhe on the 25th February 1851
