The composer Heinrich Esser, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Mannheim on the 15th July 1818, the same year of the composers Basevi, Bazzini, Bousquet, Briccialdi, Dreyschock, Godefroid, Gounod, Gumbert, Lacombe, Lavenu, Litolff, Mériel. He died in Salisburgo on the third June 1872
