The musician André-Frédéric Eler was born in Alsace in 1764, the same year of the composers Campbell, Fabrizi, Federici, Gerl, Grosheim, Kalcher, Lebrun, Mount-Edgcumbe, Parenti, Piccinni, Plantade, Rutini. He died in Parigi on the 21 April 1821
