Arne Eggen, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Trondheim on the 28th August 1881, the same year of the composers Alaleona, Barlow, Bartók, Bisquertt, Blumer, Cadman, Dresda, Enescu, Gilse, Kazuro, Le Flem, Napoli, Rogowski, Sandby, Savine, Schneider-Trnavský, Schryock, Valente. He died in Baerum (Akershus) on the 26th October 1955
